What you’re seeing below is a picture of the latest wax pattern of the Inspector Cumulus.  This is essentially the last chance we can make a change to sculpt before we fabricate the real mold.   The next step will be the 1st pull from the master mold.

As you can see from the picture, the smoking pipe and hat will be detachable and we think it will add a lot of fun to the figure.  The hands could have been made being integral part to the arms but I think, I would be the first person in the world to break this toy if the hands were not movable.  :)

Something we work hard right after the release of Series 1.  Hopefully you will like them as much as we do.  They are schedule to be released sometime this Summer.  Check back often to see updated images as we move forward.

Yeah!  You hear it right, Droplet Series 2 is making its U.S. debut at Wondercon in San Francisco next month (4.2 – 4.4).  If you will be visiting the show, be sure to pay a visit to Dragatomi‘s booth #1221. Big ups to the wonderful folks at Dragatomi!

And speaking of toy prototypes, we are happy to see the Luno toy prototype we have been working with the teams at Lunohod-1.ru finally unveiled.  That’s after the Gooma,  Moon Fox, Moon Cat, Kluth the R’lyeh Student and the Godot.  Wow!

Thanks to Vinyl Pulse for featuring the 5″ Ren designer vinyl figure on Proto Monday.  Ren is the best friend of Treeson and he is one of the characters I wanted to produce dating back to 2006.  Ren was first released last year as part of the mini blindbox series and he remains one of the most sought after characters among the series.  We are so chilled to upscale the figure to 5″ form factor which brings more rooms for detail and sophistication.   5″ Ren is expected to release this Summer.

Thanks to doc18 for snapping a shot of the Seamour Sheep being featured in the UK magazine LivingEtc.  Perfect example to show that it is more than a toy.  :-)
